Engr. Oladele Amoda was born on the 12th October, 1956 at Isara Remo, Ogun State of Nigeria.
He attended St. Peters Primary School, Isara Remo between 1963 and 1968. Ijebu Muslim College, Ijebu-Ode and passed out in June 1973. He also sat for and passed the GCE Advance Level Examination in 1976.
He obtained a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from Memphis State University in the State of Tennessee in May, 1982. In his quest for education and self development, he enrolled for and completed Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree Programme between 1997 and 1999 at University of Science & Technology, Enugu and e Master of Science (MSc.) Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from the University of Lagos, Akoka in 2002.
He joined the PHCN, the National Electric Power Authority in November, 1983 as Pupil Electrical Engineer during which he served at various location all over the country.
In January 1986, he was posted to Akure District as Planning Engineer. Between 1986 and 1996 he served as Undertaking Manager at the following locations: Owo (1986-87), Ado Ekiti (1987-1991), Ikoyi (1991 – 1996).
He was later promoted Senior Manager (Distribution) Islands District, Principal Manager (Distribution), Lagos Zone (North), Ikeja and re-appointed as District Manager, Islands District in February, 2003. A position he held until his recent appointment as Head, Technical Services, Eko Electricity Distribution Company HQ, Marina, Lagos.
Engr. Amoda is a fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and is fully registered with Council for Registration of Engineers (COREN) and a member of following local and international professional Organization:

- Institute of Electrical Engineers
- Nigerian Institute of Management
- Institute of Electrical/Electronic Engineers
- New York Academy of Sciences
Over a period of 15 years, he attended various International Conferences, Workshops and Seminars in several countries such as: Spain, France, Canada, United Kingdom, Japan, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, USA, South Africa, Egypt and Ghana.
