Mrs. O. O. Omatsone was born on the 23rd June, 1959 at Lagos.Attended Primary School at Oshogbo and Ilorin from 1965 – 1971 before proceeding for Secondary school

Attended St. Bernadine’s Girls Grammar School, Oyo State 1972 – 1976 .

Proceeded for Higher School Certificate Studies at Federal Government Girls College, Oyo from 1976 – 1978 for A’ Level Certificate

Graduated with Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) Degree in Education (History) from the University of Ife now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile – Ife in 1981

Obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) Degree Certificate in International Relations from the University of Ife now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile – Ife in 1984Obtained a Post-graduate Diploma Degree (PGD) Certificate in Banking and Finance from Anambra State University of Science and Technology (ASUTECH), now Enugu State University of Technology (ESUT) in 1989
